The home row is the foundation of touch typing. This is where your fingers rest when you're not actively typing.
Finding the Home Row
Look at your keyboard and find these keys in the middle row:

Notice the bumps on F and J - these help you find home row without looking!
Finger Placement
Left Hand
- 🖐️ Pinky → A
- 🖐️ Ring → S
- 🖐️ Middle → D
- 🖐️ Index → F
Right Hand
- 🖐️ Index → J
- 🖐️ Middle → K
- 🖐️ Ring → L
- 🖐️ Pinky → ;
💡 Pro Tip: Both thumbs rest on the spacebar. Always return to home row after pressing any key!
